These works are abstract, filling the whole canvas. They are compositions, built up from layers, movements and patterns without fixed point of focus. The image seems to expand indefinitely by continuing out of the frame. In this work it is more about the paint, the process, a thought and the associations evoked by the image by which I want to convey my feelings and memories to the viewing public. The technique I use here consists of many layers of paint hatching. I paint or draw small crosses on top of or next to each other without fixed direction. The images of the old layers connect with the new ones, thus creating a new image. It is a continuous process of reworking and adapting the several layers. The first ones disappear almost completely under several new layers of paint.
